It is crazy how many big names Dave has met and played in front of and the awards he has won for his music!

Nice to hear about how much of a family man he is and that he was able to make amends with his father just before he died.

Dave is very emotionally intelligent as I am learning throughout, the ways he dealt with the deaths of Kurt and Jimmy really are raw and will stick in his memories forever. Then his stint with The Heartbrakers which brought him back to music, followed by writing his first solo songs, which turned out to be the Foo Fighters first album. Also funny where he got the Foo Fighters name from! 😆

The Nirvana Dallas performance sounded crazy and I watched some of it on YouTube. Kurt smacking a security guard with his guitar is mental! Then being chased after the show by his gang. Didn’t know any of this ever happened!

Reading about the lows and seeing how far he has come now is impressive. From sleeping on couches to barely being able to afford food to their first big hit “Smells Like Teen Spirit”. It seems like this might be his turning point 🎸

Right place, right time. Interesting to read about the life of a rockstar!

His first tour with scream sounded like a laugh, getting to tour the US in a van is pretty cool too. Must be so many amazing and different places in the US, but I would stick to hotels over the van 😆 What an incredible first tour!

Wow I wasn’t ready for it to get that gory! Breaking his leg and continuing the show is Grohl to a tee and all the other injuries too. I liked the quote from his mum though “you’re only as happy as your unhappiest child”. Without a child I can’t say I’ve experienced it but I can see how it would be true!

Fun learning about how David first got into drumming. Like with every dream, just have to take the one big step to start it!
