I already can't with these silly sounding Dutch names lol. I'd heard Shadow and Bone (which I disliked a good bit) had crappy Russian and so far, in this book, naming a street in the rich part of town the 'Geldstraat' is not helping Bardugo beat the allegations lol

Not sure why, but I'm having trouble taking these characters seriously as being 17 (mostly Kaz), so I'll just headcanon them as being a bit older. Other than that, pleasantly surprised so far! Vibrant, distinct characters (not easy with a rather big cast), a nice setting and a strong plot so far!

I mean, I'm only reading this because three people have independently told me the duology is much better than the first trilogy, so I'm trying to keep an open mind so far 😅
Dat ze beter zou zijn dan de eerste drie boeken betekent niet dat ze ook echt 'goed' is, alleen van het niveau 'minder slecht' 😛

Is even een lastige start met die namen idd maar please lees verder want echt het boek wordt 👌🏻👌🏻 feel free to disagree natuurlijk maar ik heb deze 2 boeken echt verslonden eens het verhaal op dreef was. Ik ben benieuwd wat je er uiteindelijk van gaat vinden!!
So far ben ik aangenaam verrast, ben echt al goed mee en ben fan van de vibe en de personages!
