Every time I make time to read this book it delights me - which makes it a little confusing that I can go so long stretches without picking it up 🤷‍♀️

Is Dorothea going to break my heart? It’s very possible.

The prose is so juicy. I know it’s a classic but it just zings to me.

Maybe because my high school bias against victorian writing longer than a novella expected this to be an “important” slog but I am loving it 😍
