Wow the sheer toxicity of their infatuation is something that make me maddeningly laugh. They are literally choking on the strings of their deep love. How can they stand it?

I feel deeply attached to this book. I’m really surprised. I love the translation and main couple. Their healing process I can see myself in them.
Book part:
Though he lacked the vibrant energy of someone who had fully recovered from a long, devastating illness, a newfound sense of profound lightness often graced his features. Even the small, genuine smile he offered the cashier was proof of that.

Extract from the book:
So Gi-hyeon thought of the fish tank he had left behind at home. He had always believed he was a beast belonging to the vast, saltwater ocean, but it seemed he was nothing more than a pathetic goldfish trapped in a glass bowl barely a span wide

Part of the book:
For the past several years, Gi-hyeon had lived his life thrashing helplessly, drowning in this profound affection that perfectly mimicked love. An absurd reality for a goldfish that could only flare its gills in water. Just because the gelatinous jelly surrounding him was wet, he mistook it for water and swam desperately, only to constantly gasp and choke as the oxygen slowly ran out.

"Mondays fucking suck. I can't live like this."
"Every day sucks."
"We need to murder Monday first, then execute Thursday before dealing with the others. That bastard always pretends to be Friday."

Parts of the book:
Are all people born in the summer like him? Gi-hyeon idly wondered. But he didn't ask. Someone like himself-born only after all the vibrant, flourishing green of the world had already withered and died-could never truly comprehend the radiant warmth of
summer anyway.

Parts of the book:
Sometimes, while wearing a perfectly fabricated mask of indifference just to blatantly stare at Jo Yeon-oh's body, Gi-hyeon genuinely felt like the living embodiment of the phrase "trust no one."
"Go ahead and sue me. I've been incredibly pissed off watching my lawyers bleed me dry while doing absolutely nothing all day anyway. Let's put those bald bastards to work."
