He keeps calling her by her last name and I know it's supposed to be cute, and it would be in any other situation. But this girl has spent her whole life trying to do what her mom wants her to do and follow her ice skating legacy. Literally trying to prove she's worthy of being her daughter. But she's not her mom or her sister or her last name, she's just Matilda.

Oh my god. As a recovering conflict avoidant people pleaser, chapter 18 is so relatable it hurts
