After Brooks leaves the diner, the PI goes immediately to Abigail‘s house and wonders through the woods where he’s picked up on Camera. He plays that he’s lost and convinces her but shortly after when Brooks returns, he recognizes the description of the man. They figure him out pretty quick. They feel that time is running slim. Brooks and Abigail visit his old police chief in Little Rock.

The father of the kid who destroyed the hotel has hired a private investigator to look into Brooks and Abigail. He seems to be very good at his job with an easy way of talking to people and quick thinking on his feet he first talks to Sunny and charms her taking photos of her house.
Next he goes to the diner where Brooks happens to walk in and is confronted by Sylvie. She asks why Abigail and not her.

Brooks listened to the story growing more and more angry with her mom and the dirty cops that betrayed her comforted her and that to help her take down the Russians. It seems inevitable at this point that there will be an altercation through Brooks getting involved, but I’m not sure what that will be yet he doesn’t seem fat, but we have seen him display possible poor judgment, and how he handled the just in case

Then one day while without doing chores, she ran into ILYA in the street. He tried to grab her and they tried to follow her, but she had a getaway already planned.
She told Brooks about how she has been keeping watch on the Russians, as well as the cops who betrayed her to the mafia. She told him that she acted into the security system of the police station you worked at as well as done a little bit into him.

After she learned what she could, she left without saying another word, she knew she needed money so she could research and thought that selling a trilogy of games would be the best way to do so. She made a violent fighting game and sold the trio to a publisher for a lucrative sum. She used that money to participate brownstone in New York and start a security company. Life started to feel normal

Elizabeth tells Brooks her real identity and the story behind how she got here we learn a bunch of new information about what happened in between the opening story and when we reunite with her as Abigail.
We learned that she ran from downtown for a long time changing her hair and identity frequently she went to MIT and study computer science. Dated a boy who was knowledgeable about hacking to learn from him.

She disagrees and threatens him if he doesn’t leave her property, Brooks comes by a Chinese later that night, and she tells him about the confrontation which starts a whole emotional moment between two of them where she doesn’t want to feel like she’s under protection, and he feels the obligation to protect as a police officer she tells him her name is an Abigail.

Abigail follows them to the police office where she gives testimony and tells the cop about her idetic memory. This feels like a massive mistake as it will become public record, especially as the trial heats up. Worried that it will somehow get back to the Russians.
Later in the morning, just Dad swing by to Abigail into agreeing that this was all a misunderstanding and not depressed charges

She declines excusing herself by having to tend to the garden, but doesn’t realize that they still Out Their Way, Brooks swing by later and convince his her to at least try coming to a cookout that weekend at 2 AM Justin and his friend trespass onto Abigail‘s property setting off the alarm they repeat Brooks cruiser and Justin lunches at Brooks with a knife who disarmed him and breaks his nose

Justin has his arraignment where the bail is set at a high price. The judge also holds the father contempt in court and find some $500 despite the fact that their old golfing buddies Brooks and his friend the hotel owner go out for coffee.
Meanwhile, Abigail is planting a butterfly garden and Brooks, parents and sisters swing by the house to invite her to go shopping and grab some frozen Margs
