I’m having fun with this one even as I grit my teeth through the ten thousandth simile. But I feel tired, like I’m home from a long shift at work. It’s annoying, like a fork scratching a plate. It’s almost unsettling, like locking eyes with a billy goat through the slit of a battered fence. I find myself frustrated, like an audiobook listener just trying to find out what happens next in the fucking story.
