Gosh wren is so frustrating. Removing her scar, then making cross clean up her mess when she killed Jayde, then getting angry at him for taking too long to do it and not linking with her.
“Cross isn’t linking with me, and it’s starting to piss me off. I know he’s busy cleaning up my mess, but I’m worried about him and worried he is pissed at me.” lol shut up

This is definitely not as good as I remember. There’s so much missing! There’s no back story, not context. Wren’s greatest enemy (Cross’ dad) isn’t in it except for a brief interaction he has with cross that she eavesdrops on.

Wren is so annoying and selfish too. Ergh.

This book is not as good as I remember. It has so many promising elements to it but … I think I’ve read so many awesome fantasy and dystopian books since I first read this that now I’m seeing that … there’s nothing in here except that Wren is very horny.
