This book (and many others) have a huge huge huge show don’t tell problem. It’s like they can’t just let an emotional moment sit on its own for the reader to interpret as important for the story and characters. Like she’s icing his leg and yes that is an intimate moment but it’s ruined by the author treating us like babies who don’t see that. WE DO stop reminding us omg
