so apparently everyone who loves this book has never read any other classic or smth because i’m sorry this book PALES in comparison esp w the writing to any other classic. i know it’s meant to be stripped down to be accessible & play-like but god it’s just so empty like i kinda don’t gaf 😭😭 if east of eden is like this i will cry
