This is going to be a didn't finish (DNF). It's gone from snarky funny to depressing and not interesting or engaging. The protagonist is an alcoholic millennial who is over 30 and refuses to grow up.

I'm glad I ignored the negative reviews. This nails the BS of office politics and incompetent supervisors and petty coworkers in astute and funny observations. I have yet to meet an HR rep who is as kind or sincere as Cliff though; most are hired to protect the company and the ambitious ones will throw an employee under the bus including their own coworkers. It's obvious that Jolene has anxiety and depression.
