I read the first story Girl with Lizard and it was painfully sad. I may have to take these one at a time over a period of time. I bought the book from Better World Books so I own it and can take my time to read it.

I read the last story The Woman at the Gas Station which was so odd and yet evocative of wanting something but not knowing what it is or how to get it. And it ends with no closure.

I’ve read a third story and that may be enough for a while. These are painful stories with the shadow of the Holocaust present.
