i’m kinda mixed ngl like.. for an adult fantasy all the characters feel too childish.? and tao hasn’t set the reader up to have a lot of sympathy for the fmc cause she talked so much about why this was all a bad idea in the first place— but then did it anyway— and her motivations aren’t being presented very strongly
