In this timeline, Marcus is Abbe who is Clara and Dempsey's father. Clara and Dempsey is trying to stop Serene and Abbe from conceiving them according to Veronica in order to stop the abuses. Which in fact is stopping Serene from having sex with Marcus.

Dempsey exposes to Serene that Clara thinks she is their mother back from the dead. It does not faze Serene. Dempsey had one time sexual relationship with Kendrick. Kendrick adopted her and raised her. This is why they do not talk. Veronica wants a passport or something tangible to use against Serene to find out her true identity. Clara is drinking way too much and having sexual relations with strangers.

Dempsey remembers childhood memories that Clara remembers differently. Dempsey goes to Marcus performance. It is not well attended. She has a conversation with Raoul and finds out he likes celebrity gossip as she does.

Serene wants to help Clara and wants Dempsey help. Serene admits she needs the money.

Dempsey and Clara get into a physical fight outside Clara's home. After the theatrics, they go back into the house. Dempsey makes herself a cup of cocoa and cries a lot and loudly.
Clara pushes Serene into the shower door. It splinters into a thousand tiny pieces. But Serene is not injured at all. Serene leaves and goes home.

Dempsey has shown up unexpectedly at Clara's and Serene is at Clara's. Serene is inviting Dempsey into Clara's house.

Serene is starting to take over Clara's life.
