surprising no one, where I’M having the hardest time suspending my belief is the fact that these people’s universal translators are so janky that they render word-for-word literal meaning that obscures slang connotations of phrases…like…she says “cool” & he thinks “lightly cold,” she says “shut my trap” & he thinks “good that she can trap vermin,” etc……AMATEUR HOUR from these translators!!
