This James Rutlidge fellow ought to be hogtied and tossed in the sewage tank.

This novel has my emotions, heart and intellect by a pair of handlebars that apparently embed themselves into me when I read. Im dying to share quotes but the best ones, the ones that really capture what needs to be said, are almost a page long... Yeah.

There is a feeling and an emotional presence in some novels that is so rare and precious... This one is going to hold a lot of power, I can feel it... But Im still unsure in what form it will come.

Absolutely fascinating.
I feel a lot of resonance with chapter three... But Im not entirely sure what to make of it.
As a writer and a creative, its saying a ton... but then, I can't help but think back to a guy I know who is very similar, if less principled, to Conrad Larange... Hm
Ill have to pull some quotes from this for substack or smth.

The first chapter left me fascinated. The cast so far is interesting but extremely vague and I feel a little befuddled... But I shall be willing to put money on the fact that, that won't last long and very soon I shall be enthralled.
This is typical of classics. Takes about 100 pages to get into, and you'll never regret it when you finish.
