Timing is bugging me. It’s always a vague “a few days”. A few is a wide range (generally considered more than 2 but less than 5). So at most she’s taken 5 trips outside but has seen plenty of criminal transactions that she knows for a fact are people coming to see hadria?

Oh look, another few days. I hate when books do this. It makes it’s feel like they have nothing to say because it goes “a few days after I took her” to “a few days after that” barely a page later. Surely the author could think of a better way to transition time 🙄

Nooo, don’t make comments like that. Once you start noticing on how romance books focus on someone looking younger than they are (especially when they are a new adult like aurora is at 21), general naivety, or being tiny/petite/frail you can’t unnotice it. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth because of the PDF roots so clearly spread throughout society 🤢

Concerned because she’s 17 at the start 🤨 Please tell me this skips ahead at least 5 years and that there isn’t a huge age gap
