I'm in part two and I find it somehow easier to read. Today and yesterday I have read the norm (exceeding it by over 10 pages) in a single 1 hour and a few minutes session rather than having to read it in several sessions.

It's weird how bad guys keep literally invading protagonist's mind but it somehow doesn't cause any psychological trauma.

Wait, it should be the opposite of undestilled. Unadelturated despair?

This novel is undestilled despair.

This book is stuff of nightmares. It takes me about an hour to do the 30 page norm but I have to do it in 6 10m reading sessions, since it starts quickly draining my energy if I read longer.
So, it should take me about 34 reading days to finish it.
Much harder to read than No Longer Human.

It's oozing atmosphere, though, so I must persist.

So, yeah, I found it in a library. I watched author interview before and was intrigued. I remember Emmie reading Manacled in one of her vlogs.
I like the atmosphere. Rather heavy read - 2 pages per minute. Tiring to read. Can do the norm, though.
Wish it was fully illustrated by whoever did the lovely cover.
Author clearly inspired by Planescape: Torment and Baldur's Gate 2.
