Chapter 62 contains a great example of one of my favorite things that Stephen King does. He tells you the terrible thing that’s about to happen, he shows you how it plays out, and then he hands you the ending on a one-sentence silver platter. “And they never saw him again.” No mystery there! It’s such a satisfying and definitive way of telling a story, and King does it so well.
