So far I'm intrigued. On a separate note, it's just hit me: is it even a fantasy novel if the heroine isn't throwing up incessantly and bleeding profusely? Luckily our fmc Reya fits the bill.

having just read quicksilver by callie hart, i'm feeling a bit of deja vu with the protagonist's narrative and the world building here: a thieving, orphaned fmc with a knack for blacksmithing caught in the midst of a critical heist in 'silver city', where magic is outlawed by a tyrannical monarch
