I had to skip the 3rd story it grossed me out and made me cringe more than I’m willing to accept.
This 4th one however is hilarious I thought this walking ick 2.0 was going to end up a psyco and kill Alison for not keeping her promise…also will we find out what the hell made Alison wig out like that??

I don’t know how I feel about this book. I may not be the intended audience? I don’t feel intelligent or intellectual enough for the academic essay style writing which 50% consisted of. It did make me ponder though and I guess that was the point? Let’s say 3.8 stars

Crickey how does the author think of this stuff?! I can’t help but feel like the whole “main character” story is a university reading on race, sexuality, gender and internet culture all in 1 and I need to go back to uni to understand it as half went way over my head. But I guess that’s the point, this book is supposed to outrage and make us think about the discourse we blindly exist in on the daily

Ok story 4 is definitely the most articulate but lord it’s turning me more right winged by the word and idk if it’s supposed to have the opposite impact or not but this is exactly what I mean when I say some people just want to be victims so bad. I mean why did Bee choose to live in a co-op if she didn’t want to live socially? And why can’t minorities educate others, it’s not lazy it’s curious to ask

Wow those edits as he realised his story was psychotic had me cackling the whole time!!! What an absolute dumbass!! I still want to know what happened to Alison though but this story has been my fave so far and made up for the disgust that made me DNF the 3rd story

Yes she made some mistakes but I feel for Alison and can’t help but relate to her. Neil was a self righteous absolute dick, I know too many Neil’s. And her “friends” were just as fake as she called them in the group chat she was lucky to be rid of them but sad she didn’t have any real friends to turn to after. Neil inviting Alison to his wedding and treating her like shit?? Just leave her alone 😭

It was tragically funny but I was also saddened by the reality of how common the walking ick of a man who has no self awareness is
