Do you like the series? Is it comparable to Vespasian?

I must admit overall so far I enjoy Vespasian moreso, it's still good but with a multitude of characters and plots and subplots etc I did lose track in one of the books which had multiple POV 's where some characters were jus difficult to endure whilst others are brilliant. Fair to say by this book the cast list has been thinned
