Every time we cut to Alice, I feel INSANE. She's losing her mind and everyone else is in their own little world.

I've finally hit the big critic that a lot of people seem to have with this book and I think... I think people are dumb??? It is something that is obviously being built towards throughout the entire novel, arguably it is the ONLY reason we get one as a bride and not the other???? It is FUNDAMENTALLY SO IMPORTANT????? idk maybe I'M crazy

I love trying to piece together this story

It's always when the count shows up that something bad happens :/ what if he showed up and like. gave his wealth to the less fortunate instead

I got lucky enough to also obtain a copy of the audio book and I have to say I prefer listening to this so much more than reading it. I know I am missing out on the different formatting styles (which I loved) that came from the incorporation of telegrams, journals, and letters BUT the descriptive prose is easier to process through narration for me.

Happy Pride Month to Lucy and Mafalda. Everyone else? :/

Love that we're playing with zoophagy in this novel, however it has always been the one part of Dracula that grossed me out so I know I'm in for it.
