Ok. I just realized that this is the original "commercialized" edition that was edited down to 31 chapters. That's OK, though. I think it's enough to bring the point home. It sucks to be poor. And then they make it suck more. And more. And then a family member dies. Then another. So of course you want communism. Because it's NOT THIS. America is not the America immigrants imagine. It wasn't then and it isn't now.
