This book is going so hard in so many ways. I feel like a kid watching Indiana Jones for the first time again, discovering all the joy and excitement that comes from piecing together a historical narrative from myth in the places it happened, and hey this time there isn't any white saviorism or colonialist apologia. (Well. there IS some classism. but it's a theme, the MC is working through it dw)
