okay so ch 4 was confusing as hell until i understood it to be their origin story & the human/2 legged, waj, was a slave abandoned by the ship she was on…ugh my god.💔 yetu fleeing to the surface & seeing/interacting with humans. suka seems kind but oori 👀 i have thoughts…🏳️🌈. & ugh yetu’s amaba not understanding her being suicidal was bc of the mental impacts of the rememberings

gonna read more later but uhhh 1) yetu hears and feels via her scaled skin 2) she “sleep walks” (but she’s a wanjinru) basically dissociating into ancestral memories called “remembering” 3) it pains yetu to do this but everyone in her colony relies on her for it + the ritual of her bringing the memories of their ancestors to other wanjinru 4) FOREMOTHERS = HUMANS 5) yetu left! well! ok still confused LMAO
