Why is the story so interestiing meh. I really don't see any chemistry in both MCs - the pretending to be gay scene was fun, but eh ... it always ends with Yan spouting some stupid asshole line *eye roll*

Well, the first introduction of Yan Xie, one of the MCs, is quite ... shit. He's an asshole, and not one of those "oh hot asshole" but just an asshole. Threatening a bartender with a knife bcs he's too stupid to read the menu and that his drink is non-alcoholic ??? as a police officer? Excuse me, Mr. Edgelord.
