I finally started this book again thinking I just needed a break. It's finally gotten better. The writing is back to the normal cadence and flow. I wish she had spread out some of the other kingdoms in her other books before this one. It might've helped with the coherence and unity of the series a bit.

I'm still loving the characters!! How she has developed them has been her greatest strength!

I keep trying to finish. Each chapter feels so disconnected. I will finish. The other books were soooo good. I'm just not sure what has happened. Hoping it picks up.

I do not know what has happened to the writing in this last book. It's like someone else is writing and it's not cohesive. I'm going to push through but it's jolting for some reason. I hope this feeling passes quickly and the writing evens out.
