Really interesting
Wishing I knew more about oligosaccharides among other things
A bit bugged by her discussion of the purposes here, as the 1st need of any organism is nutrition -> hydration plus. Yes disease protection is important, but can only come after an organism has sufficient nutrition for basic function and, with infants, the intense growth +development they undergo early on

Wahey
Glad for that list and description of each of the representative species/Eves
Just thinking a timeline graphic might have been useful, but the descriptions are really helpful

Read yesterday. Took me a bit to get into it but I think now I’m going, and I do like her style. Bonus/as it should be: FOOTNOTES not end notes! And they’re informative footnotes that add to the main text.
Meant to keep going yesterday at least to the end of the intro, but had to head outside for a bit and then got into other things
