Yikes. Such a perfect description.
Running into ppl like this in work or social groups makes everything miserable, and they’re often manipulative and cloud the truth (to put it nicely). Glad to be free at the moment

The traveler, lost between 2 worlds, trying to understand but ever un-understood and alone

And they’re still looking for a unified field theory 😂

This still seems very… dreary
Though a whole society centered around the idea of mutual aid
And still…some left without a sense of belonging even as they share comradery and company and conversation

Yikes this is triggering
I can see where this is going and noting on the side that this kid is ND, whether spectrum or high intelligence
The toddler that pushes him gets no reprimand while he is punished for reacting, tho both are age appropriate
Has entrancing ideas beyond his level -advanced sci - + not only is ignored + laughed at by the other kids, but bullied by the teacher for “lying” + for being himself

Wow did that 1st chapter feel overwhelming
She will always amaze me with the speed with which she draws the reader in to the reality and the depth of the character
And with mere passing bits of perspective she introduces you to the life of one born into what seems a benevolent anarchy
