God it's so weird to see the word 'canceled' used in the modern way in a book, even though this is set in the 2020s. I am enjoying the book otherwise, but yeah. Surely there are other words?

What on Earth? This seriously reads like someone cut a few key chapters out of the book and then glued it back together. This is so unlike Pessl. I'm so disappointed.
