It's funny how some authors paint using a lot of words, and others get away with the bare minimum and still paint vivid pictures. It's an especially stark contrast coming from a Robert Jordan book to this!

First two chapters are merely background about the main character(s), which is interesting, but the story itself doesn't kick off until chapter 3.
