I enjoyed learning about Joe Louis. Brown bomber seemed pretty tuff in his day, I’m amazed at the detail in these stories

The detail in which Angelou recounts her childhood is amazing. She captures stories and feelings in a way that I’m experiencing them all. Her writing emphasizes the power of being present in every moment. Impatience today is widespread, but there’s so much wisdom to get from living in every moment and acknowledging every feeling and thought, especially the unpleasant ones.
