I’m finding the writing very clumsy. Switching from third-person to first-person narration with no segue, presenting all the players briefly in chapter one only to proceed to go into each of them in their own chapters, making the initial presentation superfluous...

I didn’t think I was a picky reader, but if the writing doesn’t get tighter, this will be my last MHC book.
