Did the detour last longer than I cared for? Yes. But we’re so back baby.

Until recently I was so invested in this book. It was reminding me of Papillon and made me think that MC would be the love child of that and The Princess Bride. I was nervous to arrive at where I am now: bored. Because we’ve now, understandably but no less unfortunately, come to the part of the story where I have to force myself to care about storylines where Edmond is on the sidelines.
