I’m moving slow, but I want to keep going. I’m in the middle of A Song of Myself. I’m marveling at how Whitman expresses all his observations as being absorbed into his own being. It is such a generous and kind way of looking at the world.

Your comment about how Whitman expresses his observations reminds me, oddly enough, of a brief bit I read from a book called "Meditations on Hunting" by Jose Ortega y Gasset.
