To be fair, only one of a few novels I’ve read this year, but on track to be one of my favorites of 2026.

This book also reminds me of Marilynne Robinson’s Gilead — it seems written from a theological perspective or Christian ethos that holds suffering/sin in one hand and grace/goodness in the other. Very nice so far.
