I just realised this is a major 'daddy issues' romance. Like she has a shit relationship with her parents, she sees West being a good parent and finds that hot.
Like ofc she likes him for other reasons too but it's still serious 'daddy issues' vibes.

I’m not sure I like how Elsie Silver has written Skylar’s character. Sometimes she’s acting like a child, stomping foot when she doesn’t get her way. And sometimes she’s acting like a ‘dumb city girl’ who thinks taking a photo with a bear is a good idea and doesn’t know how to make a bed.

They’re meet-cute was half cute half stupid. Him saving her and protecting her was cute. Her acting like a child and thinking videoing a bear up close was a good idea was stupid.

Why is she acting like a child??? Stomping her foot and whining. She’s a grown ass woman.
