it's so fucking boring i seriously do not want to read this anymore but there's only a bit left to go. don't know if ill continue with the rest of the series at this point.

I've just used search function on the epub version. Dru mentions her dad, who died in the beginning of the first book, in this 296 page novel OVER 130 TIMES. THATS AN AVERAGE OF ONE DAD EVERY 2.3 PAGES. she has to mention him when she does literally anything.
breathing > my dad taught me to breathe.. 'specially in a fight.. *cue flashback*
fighting > i fight the way my dad taught me
thinking > what would dad do?
etc.

That doesn't make much sense. "That doesn't make any sense at all."

This is the problem with the repetition. Why do I have to read Dru's thoughts so often every single page right before she does anything at all. Imagine that x5 every chapter. it gets so frustrating especially since the plot HASN'T MOVED AT ALL FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE BOOK.

dru's so speshul and the only thing making her speshul is the fact she's one of the only girls in a world of smoking hot vamp boys and big strong werewolves. and even though she's super tough and badass and independent, we have to be reassured that her dad was the man that taught her everything and he takes the credit for it all "my dad always said that doing this was the smartest thing" HES DEAD. THINK FOR YOURSELF

dru has been nothing but a dumb bitch this whole time. skipping classes and shit for no reason when shes finally at a real school for the supernatural world like shes been wanting but they're not teaching her the exact things she wants so she SKIPS?? This is literally your chance to finally get your head out of the sand and you refuse it, what?! and she keeps bragging about how much she can fight but she gets whooped

this book really beats you over the head when it tells you information. you do not need to ask the same bloody question six hundred times in the same conversation!!!! I got it!!
