This guy really never shuts up, does he? Louis’ maudlin self-pity caused him to drain his victims quickly; they’d have been begging for a merciful death if he’d started monologuing at them first. You’re making me want to reread these books…but I took a break at 40% in The Mayfair Chronicles because I can only handle so much i****t at a time (don’t want to spoil anything for anyone lol) Anyway, I should probably finish that first 🤭

lol my hate read is enticing you 🤭 I started out enthusiastic, I swear, and I liked it when I read it in high school… now I’m old enough to know what a five year old looks like (aging Claudia up for the movie muddied my memory of how horribly young she is in the book 😭)
