Everyone — including the forward author — assumes I will hate this book. The first chapter and a half was good. Not sure where it goes from here, but I'm keeping an open mind.

Not sure if you’re doing audio only, but I will say, this is not a book that will translate well in audio form only. I wouldn’t say that for almost any other book I’ve read. I have the audiobook and it doesn’t do the end notes correctly. Unless they’ve updated it since the version I bought. Also the process of flipping to the end of the book back and forth (like a tennis match) is integral to the experience. I have a copy if you want to borrow! I feel passionately about this book and just want you to give it the best chance!
