The attempt to communicate back in the 70s was a very strong reaction although it’s possible they could have truly angered aliens and they are willing to hold a grudge for an entire species over it. It seems a little far-fetched and things have been too easy.

He reveals that he hacked into the Armand’s founders private folders when he was consulting on the game design and discovered. That ahead of each raid over the past 40 ish years the Europeans sent a package of earths’s war films snipped together with the 5 note tune from close encounters of a third kind where humans boarded the alien ship at the end of

Z goes to X’s room and they scoot away to an abandoned part of the base that has no monitoring equipment and X shares his real beliefs. Everything is too easy, why not attack right away, why are some ships armored and near impossible to take down while others are flimsy. How did he manage to destroy one of them with the most improbable timing.

The moon baser lifers tell there there’s on what’s really happening. They call attention to the same inconsistency in logic that Z has been noticing this while time. X refuses to say his theory in front of everyone. Z gets mad and storms off to look at the flash drive filled with letters his dad gave him. Reading over a few he gets more of the backstory he has been missing as well as a cryptic video

It’s also weird that we haven’t seen the aliens and what they look like and then there’s at least some assemblance of human culture through the symbol of their base.
My current thinking is that both planets were seated by humanity early on like the Moonfall movie and that the Europeans are really humans who are trying to train and haze in the technological development of earth

The last time a disruptor was sent, which was a big complaining point for these friends. They thought that mission was impossible and pretty much by some miracle. They managed to blow up the disruptor Z’s dad thinks that the aliens allowed them to do it, which kind of supports the idea that he has been feeling about things being too easy so far.

Z meets the other two people on the moon base who are very chummy with his dead. Also very nerdy. They have a band, play D&D and are the 1-3 ranked armada pilots. It’s revealed this this is the 38th time the fleet has attacked but this is by far the biggest. Each time the orbits of Earth and Saturn are at their cloeest proximity they would send a ship that was stoped by the moon base who

Z meets his dad with mixed results. He seems like a good guy, and he wants to be happy, but he also resent the fact that he chose to abandon his family to pursue this mission. His room is filled with photos of him and his mom.

Complaint on the cover design of this book. He is wearing a VR goggle and also has a TV in front of him which he definitely can’t see because of the goggles.

He’s called to the admirals office and learns that his father is redjive. The number one ranked Violet and a total asshole. He also learns that the admiral is the fourth ranked player meaning he has met one four and five.
He sent to the moon base. Which is on the dark side of the moon reading. This is ironically timed with the Artemis missions in real life. He makes out with Alexis and then meets his team.
