Anne Rice why are you so weird with how you write childrennnn I don't care that Claudia is based off of your dead daughter who died of leukemia at the age of 5 it's still weirdddd oh my god... how on earth do you write a book with a character who mentally ages but is stuck in the body of a child without being weird about it? is it even possible

Definitely a product of its time. I'm reading it from the Barnes n Nobles collector's edition, which groups the first 3 books together, so the page count is a little off. Louis's transformation is like an elopement and despises Lestat himself. I wonder if Lestat turned him because he's lonely. The book is, to my surprise, mostly Louis talking to an interviewer: Mostly descriptive dialogue.
