It's sad that I still like Scottie more than Rhett.

Rhett is being stupid and macho.

She was right. You're in more danger. Stupid man. Make friends/allies. Work with them.

Ya. And she noticed he didn't say he loved her. Ugh.

Also, she's said "I love you" multiple times and his response is "I'm going to have sex with you"!?

It feels bad. Don't like.

Could they please refrain from sex when they're supposed to be investigating at a fancy ball!?

Plus, he's been a douche and overprotective. They need to build more trust before this.

Gives me the ick.

Not ready for declarations. Especially when she's the first one to say it. Gives me the ick that he's being jealous and she has to reassure him when he also was being a jerk.

Ok, her sister won me over with that speech and dress.

But Rhett? I'm not feeling it. It's too late in the book (unless their relationship won't resolve in this book) to be holding back.

The way this is moving so quickly to the physical makes it feel too formulaic. It doesn't feel true to the story. It feels about what is expected for romance novels.

I want them to spend more time together and get to know each other. I do like them but I'm not ready for them to sleep together or get too sexy

I love Rhett's dad. He's a national treasure.
