I blame the crappy Harlequin romance books I read when I was younger for my obsession with the 'innocent naive youth gets shunted into an arranged marriages to an arrogant rake' trope, but I never get tired of it 😍. And not only does Eliot give us an arranged marriage, but Remi has to pretend that he's full of enthusiasm for marriage or his wicked father in law will harm his sister. I'm obsessed 🤩
