Kip is going to get himself killed with that smart mouth of his. And I like . He's awesome. Reminds me of Kelsier from Mistborn. But also, is so going to end up dead too isn't he. I will be devastated if he doesn't make it to the end of the series. Also, the tests to enter the Chromaria are REALLY interesting.

I'm borrowing the audiobook from the library. It's WAY cooler as an audiobook. But also? This is the 2nd epic fantasy that felt the need to include a pyramid of severed heads. Is that necessary? I think not. Probably. Kip... man, poor Kip. He's having a time. Also, his mom was a butt. Also, also, I'm rooting for Gavin and Keris (however it's written). ALSO ALSO, who or what is the Prince of Colours??
