I’m gonna keep going because overall I like plot/magic but I just want to say: I am fucking sick of fantasy romance saying “strong FMC” and then I am given an irrational jealously driven women for almost an entire book. Those two things are not the same and it’s pissing me off that sarcasm and irrationality are being passed as “strong”.

“My power is my own.” I screamed. “As is my fate.” I roared. If you screamed this powerful moment then why the hell does the narrator sound like she whining and unsure of the words she’s saying. Like this is a pivotal powerful moment. Her voice carries up then finishes in a whisper. Like the action is confident… make it make sense.
