After more than 10 years, I am currently re-reading "Dark Edge of Honor" by Aleksandr Voinov.
I am simply blown away. If you enjoyed Special Forces, make sure to read this. Sergei reminds me so much of a young Vadim -who is my favorite character ever - and I cannot get over how much this book captivates me.

I'm glad you're enjoying this story.. I did also try to read the Special Forces trilogy, years ago.. I could not finish it. I believe I only completed the first book..

I believe I only completed the first book.."Yes, I understand that. The first book was the one that came closest to a mm romance. The other books with their open relationship were rather painful. But I could not put it down.
Oh and for Vadim fans, make sure to also read Voinov's book Gold Digger where an older Vadim in his 60s makes an appearance, long after his Special Forces days.
