Okay so I guess the absence of Christine's perspective was intentional in the beginning to kind of make the story more mysterious. We get a lot more of her pov later on and what has happened to her and stuff. She is such a confusing but complex character.

Honestly very little of this so far has been focused on Christine, which I find surprising because so many adaptations use her as the protagonist. It has honestly been more focused on the managers and their accounts of the story, which I guess makes sense since its mostly from the pov of the author collecting evidence. But still. Most of the stuff about Christine is in relation to her father or Raoul or the Phantom

Just from reading the introduction, I know some of this is supposed to be set in the actual time period Leroux is writing about. But I'm not sure exactly to what extent this is supposed to be historical fiction. Like, are the managers he's mentioning as well as the the actual characters supposed to be real? Are most of these events based on fact? I could literally resolve this with a Google search, so I'll do that.
