I am thoroughly enjoying it, Kevin! This is my first Waugh and it won’t be my last! I will admit I needed 30-odd pages to warm to his style, particularly the dialogue and figuring out who’s who and who’s talking, Waugh doesn’t always let on who’s in a particular scene but it quickly becomes clear. These characters are quite awful and I’m all over it now I’ve got the gist of things. The way they’re behaving regarding “the tragedy” is so detached and cold, I almost feel guilty for enjoying it so much! 😆
